Privacy policy

Dourena is operated by Dourena LLC, a Florida limited liability company. In this policy “we” and “us” mean Dourena LLC, and “the site” means this website.

If you only read the site, we collect no account information. Our hosting provider processes standard server request data, including IP address and browser user agent, in order to serve pages and protect against abuse.

If you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted form of your password, handled by our authentication provider. We never see or store your password in readable form.

If you add a dog profile or write a review, we store what you enter — for example your dog’s name, breed, age, size and any sensitivities you choose to record — because that context is what makes a review on this site useful to someone else.

If you join the Dourena Club founding list, we store that you joined, when you joined, where on Dourena you joined from (for example, the Puppy Starter Guide) and the plan preference you chose, if you chose one. We use it only to email you once when founding membership opens. Joining is optional and is always something you choose on the Dourena Club page — creating an account does not add you to the list. No payment information is collected, and you can leave the list at any time.

If you send a brand inquiry through Dourena Studio, we collect what you enter in the form: your brand or company, your name, your business email, your website or Instagram, the service, budget and timeline you choose, and your project description.

We use this information to respond to your inquiry and communicate with you about potential or ongoing projects.

Your inquiry is not saved in a database on this website. It is delivered to our inbox at info@dourena.com through Resend, our email delivery provider.

We retain inquiry emails for as long as reasonably necessary to discuss and manage your project.

To protect the form from abuse, we use a hashed version of your IP address. This information is temporarily held in server memory for approximately ten minutes to limit repeated submissions. A hashed identifier and submission outcome may also be recorded in server logs maintained by our hosting provider. These logs do not contain your inquiry message.

You may request deletion of your inquiry by contacting info@dourena.com. We will delete the inquiry from our inbox, subject to any applicable legal or recordkeeping obligations. Copies held by third-party email providers may remain until their applicable retention periods expire.

The site sets one kind of cookie: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is necessary for the site to function and is not used to track you between sites.

We do not currently run third-party advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, this page will be updated before the change ships and you will be asked for consent where consent is required.

• To operate the site, sign you in, and keep you signed in.
• To attach the right dog context to a review you write.
• If you joined the Dourena Club founding list, to email you once when founding membership opens.
• To respond when you contact us.
• To detect and prevent abuse, spam and fraudulent reviews.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use your reviews or dog profile to train models for third parties.

We use service providers to run the platform. Today those are our database, authentication and hosting providers, and Resend, which delivers the email we send. They process data on our instructions in order to deliver the service, and for no other purpose.

If you follow an affiliate or outbound link to a retailer, that company is a separate business with its own privacy policy, and what happens after you leave this site is governed by theirs. See our affiliate disclosure.

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time, from your account page, and it happens straight away: we delete your profile and sign-in, your dogs’ profiles, your reviews, your Pawgram activity, your place on the Dourena Club founding list and everything else you added to Dourena, and we remove the photo files you uploaded from storage. A review you wrote stops counting toward any customer rating.

Some limited records can remain for a time after that: copies in our service providers’ logs and in database backups, until those providers’ normal retention periods expire, and anything the law requires us to keep. Site activity records that were linked to your account are kept only with that link removed.

• You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• You can delete your account, and the personal information with it, yourself from your account page — or ask us to do it for you.
• You can leave the Dourena Club founding list at any time, on the Dourena Club page.
• You can withdraw consent where we relied on it, without affecting what came before.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We apply the choices above to everyone regardless of location.

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will remove it.

Dourena is in active development and this policy will change as the platform does. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page.
